Who We Build For

Success has a structural limit.

At a certain point, success stops being an income problem and becomes a structure problem. More revenue, more equity, and more complexity do not automatically create more wealth. Wealth is what you keep. We build for people whose current success has outgrown standard tax planning.

Founders

High-margin owners earning $500K+ whose structure still reflects an earlier stage. Income is rising, but too much is leaking through outdated design.

Visionaries

Founders with meaningful equity and a likely liquidity event ahead. Without early architecture, too much paper wealth can disappear at the finish line.

Partners

High-income professionals and specialized earners whose compensation has outgrown standard planning. Income may be high, but the structure is still exposed.

YOUR CURRENT TAX FOUNDATION
The Cost of Passive Planning
Most tax plans aren’t built to fail; they are simply built to ‘comply.’ But at new levels of wealth, simple compliance creates a massive ‘Tax Drag.’ This silent friction erodes your compound growth year after year. If your current structure hasn’t been re-optimized for the 2026 landscape, you are likely operating a legacy machine in a high-speed world. It’s time to move beyond the tax return and into the tax blueprint.

This Is Not Traditional Tax Planning

Traditional tax firms are built to file accurately, stay compliant, and keep the process moving. That matters. But for business owners and high earners, filing correctly is not the same thing as building wealth.

Wealth is not what you earn, what your business is worth on paper, or what your portfolio reports. Wealth is what you keep. That is why we start with tax architecture first — identifying structural leaks, reducing drag at the source, and building the system in the right order before we ever talk about optimizing at the margins.

Two Tree Financial is a tax-first wealth architecture firm. We help clients redesign their tax structure, coordinate the key moving parts of their financial life, and manage what they keep through disciplined, evidence-based investing.

Most engagements begin with a Structural Audit. From there, we identify the leaks, build the right architecture, and coordinate implementation with the appropriate professionals. When appropriate, the relationship continues into ongoing advisory work focused on tax strategy, investment management, and long-term wealth planning.

Perspective

Most firms report what happened. We build what happens next.

Webflow

The Decade Blueprint. We model where your income, complexity, and optionality are going — then build the structure to support it before the pressure arrives. We engineer for the finish line, not just the next deadline.

Squarespace

The Post-Mortem. They wait for the numbers to show up, document what already happened, and tell you the cost after the fact. It is history, not architecture.

Methodology

They file around the structure. We redesign it.

Webflow

Structure Before Tactics. We do not start with forms, deductions, or cleanup. We start with the architecture beneath the return — entities, retirement design, tax structure, and the decisions that actually move the outcome.

Squarespace

Patchwork Planning. They work within the structure you already have. Maybe they optimize around the edges. Rarely do they step back and rebuild the system itself.

Price

Cheap advice is only cheap if it does not cost you the bigger opportunity.

Webflow

The 3x ROI Minimum. We are not priced like a standard tax shop because this is not standard tax work. If we cannot see a path to a multiple return on our fee through stronger structure, we should not be the firm.

Squarespace

Commodity Pricing. They are usually the lower-cost option for filing returns and handling standard tax prep. That works — until “cheap” advice leaves a six-figure structural opportunity untouched.

Ethical & Legal Accuracy

Compliance is not the value proposition. It is the minimum standard. Precision, defensibility, and sound structure are where the real work begins.

Webflow

Precision Integrity. Every structural layer we recommend is designed to be both aggressive and defensible. We operate strictly within the law while engineering a system that is mathematically sound, coordinated, and built to hold up.

Squarespace

Standard Accuracy. Like any reputable firm, they should file correctly, stay compliant, and meet the legal standard. That matters — but it is the baseline, not the breakthrough.

Definition of Wealth

Wealth is not what shows up on paper. Wealth is what survives the leak.

Webflow

What You Keep. We start with taxes because real wealth is not a valuation, a return figure, or a polished report. It is what remains after taxes, drag, and poor structure have taken their share.

Squarespace

What Gets Reported. They track income, deductions, and filings. Necessary work, but it still stops short of the deeper question: how much of your success actually reaches you?

Coordination

Fragmented advice creates drag. Coordinated systems create leverage.

Webflow

One Coherent System. Taxes, retirement planning, investments, legal structure, and long-term financial decisions are designed to work together. The moving parts reinforce each other instead of competing for attention.

Squarespace

Taxes in Isolation. They may do solid tax work, but taxes are usually handled separately from investing, legal planning, and broader wealth strategy. The client is left managing the gaps.

Investing

Most firms start with performance. We start with what performance gets to keep.

Webflow

Evidence, After Structure. Once the foundation is built, we layer in disciplined, evidence-based investing — not predictions, headlines, or financial theater. More of what you keep now has the chance to compound from a stronger base.

Squarespace

Outside Referral. Most tax firms stop at the return and send investing somewhere else. That means another silo, another opinion, and more fragmentation for the client to manage.

The Final Outcome

The goal is not only a clean return. The goal is retained wealth.

Webflow

The Success Penalty Reduced. Our job is not just to file accurately. It is to reduce tax drag, increase what actually reaches you, and build a structure that lets more of your success stay yours.

Squarespace

Accurate, But Incomplete. The return may be right. The bigger opportunity may still be gone.

We cut through the financial noise and focus exclusively on the structural levers that protect your capital.

The first pain is usually taxes. The deeper problem is structure.

Coordination over FragmentationTaxes, retirement planning, and investments should work together — not live in separate silos.
Clarity over ComplexityIf advice creates more confusion, it is not doing its job. We build for clarity first.
Leverage over ActivityWe focus on the moves that materially improve outcomes, not the ones that merely create motion.
Better outcomes come from better architecture
Start with the Structural Foundation

We begin by identifying where wealth is leaking, where decisions are disconnected, and what needs to be built first.

Align Taxes and Investments

Two of the primary builders of wealth are how much you keep and how well it compounds. Those decisions should inform each other.

Lead with Discipline, Not Drama

We are not here to follow financial theater. We are here to help clients make disciplined decisions that compound over time.

Brian Duerson, MSF

Founder of Two Tree Financial

For many high earners, the first pain is taxes. The deeper problem is structure. Income has grown. Complexity has grown. But the financial architecture around that success often has not kept pace. There may be a CPA, an advisor, and a retirement plan in place, yet the overall strategy still feels disconnected. The pieces exist, but they do not work together. What looks sophisticated on paper is often inefficient in reality.

That is the problem I built Two Tree Financial to solve. My background spans traditional finance and modern fintech, with experience at firms like E*TRADE, Ameriprise, and Brex, along with a Master of Science in Finance from Johns Hopkins University. Across those environments, one thing became obvious: most successful people do not need more information. They need judgment. They need someone who can step back, see the full picture, separate signal from noise, and put the right decisions in the right order.

A big part of that work is using structure to reduce tax liability, not just patch around the edges. Too often, tax planning becomes reactive — a scramble for deductions, a collection of one-off ideas, or a year-end exercise in damage control. I am less interested in patching around a weak structure than in redesigning the structure itself. Real tax efficiency comes from aligning the right vehicles, the right timing, and the right structure from the start.

The goal is not to do more. It is to focus on the few moves that materially improve the outcome. The best financial strategy is not just the one that works on paper. It is the one you can actually sustain with clarity, confidence, and less friction. Less decision fatigue. Less noise. More life lived along the way.

In a world where AI makes information instant and more financial work becomes automated or commoditized, judgment becomes more valuable, not less. Information is everywhere. Execution is easier than ever. Clear thinking is still rare. The ability to connect tax strategy, investment management, and long-term planning into one coherent system cannot be outsourced.

That is why I built Two Tree. Not to add commentary. Not to sell prediction. Not to chase financial fashion. But to help clients keep more of what they earn, invest from a stronger position, and build wealth through a structure designed to last.
